Cheesy Dog Biscuits Cheesy Dog Biscuits 1 cup rolled oats 1/3 cup margarine 1 cup boiling water 3/4 cup cornmeal 2 tsp chicken/beef bouillon 1/2 cup milk 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1 egg, beaten 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour Preheat oven to 325 degrees; grease cookie sheets. In large bowl, combine rolled oats, margarine and boiling water; let stand 10 minutes. Stir in cornmeal, bouillon, milk, cheese and egg; mix well. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Add flour 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition to form a stiff dough. On floured surface, knead in remaining flour until dough is smooth and no longer sticky, 3- 4 minutes. Roll or pat out dough to 1/2 inch thickness, cut with bone shaped cookie cutter. Place an inch apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake 325 degrees 35-45 minutes on until browned. Thoroughly cool. Store loosely covered. Makes 3 1/2 dozen large, or 8 dozen small, dog biscuits.
PEANUT BUTTER COOKIE FOR DOGS PEANUT BUTTER DOG BISCUITS Ada Jane Cowper Stir dry ingredients together in large bowl 1 ½ cup unbleached flour ½ cup cornmeal 1 ½ cup whole wheat flour 1/8 cup nonfat dry milk Add: ¼ cup creamy peanut butter 1 egg, slightly beaten Add water gradually 1 to 1 ¼ cup water Dough should be stiff. Knead dough and roll out to ¼ “ thick. Cut with a cookie cutter. Place on baking sheet. Bake in 350 oven for 40 minutes to one hour. Open oven door and let the cookies stay inside for 5 hours or overnight. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator.

Check with toothpick. Slice and cube for treats. It can be frozen in pieces. Because it is rich, use it sparingly.
